Wear gloves when handling the making a solar cell. This will prevent the oil in your hands from staining the proposed solar cell. Make out of the width of two solar panels. Solder coated tabbing wire-- This wire is used to join the cells together. Cut the wire so that it is just shorter than the width of 2 cells. Each cell needs two pieces cut enough to tab all of your solar panels. Rosin flux pen- Helps the solder stick to the cell.
Drag the pen over the thick white lines on the cell. Solder the flat wire along the whit (Negative) strip. Use a block of wood to hold the wire in place. Do not press the soldering iron down too hard or you may crack the cell. Now do the same with the other negative strip.
Note : Some cells only have one strip. this will depend on the size of the cells you purchase.
Repeat this process for all of your cells. This is too much homemade prepares a proposed small solar panel for a science or school project with the household item or tin foil.
